Kate and Simon met on a night out in Swansea (as do many of the couples we have featured!! It seems to be a reoccurring theme!… if your single and looking, Swansea town is the place to be!) Simon was in the city on business and “stumbled across Kate and her friends having a bit too much fun midweek in Wind Street!”. And as they say the rest is history! A romantic holiday abroad provided the perfect opportunity for a proposal“Our first holiday together was at a beautiful hotel called the Heritage Awali in Mauritius. Every evening we would order cocktails for 6.30 on the beach to watch the sunset. On the last evening just as the sun was going down Simon got down on two knees (he confused the etiquette!) and after much bumbling asked me to be his wife then continued with more bumbling and many ‘pleases’ not giving me a chance to reply with a big fat yes! Simon joked later that he waited until the last night just to make sure I met the mark over our week together!”
